Mackenzie earned two licensed derby placements in 1997.  She is very stylish retriever with a great water entry.  She is also an excellent family pet and accomplished gun dog, very friendly and trainable. 

Mackenzie is a proven producer with pups earning hunt test titles as well as field trial placements.  She is what the pointer folk refer to as a "Blue Hen". A "Blue Hen" is one that produces quality pups from breedings with at least three different males. Some of Mackenzie's offspring from various breedings include:

   Long Pond's Hydro of Westwind (National Master Hunter 2003)
2. Mackenzie bred to Dual Ch and AFC Gambler's Dilwyne Stacked Deck
   Westwind Colonial Rimfire***(QAA, 2002 high point Chesapeake derby dog with 20 derby points, and an all-breed Amateur 1st)
3. Mackenzie bred to Delaware Chief Nicobe***
   Westwind Abernaki Chief (7 derby points, QAA)
   Westwind Ms Katahdin (6 derby points, Qualifying 1st, 2005 ACC Field Specialty)

Mackenzie is 75 pounds and sedge colored. She had one last litter in 2002, producing our two new field trial competitors, Abe and Katie.
